Moanalua High School during the first year of operation 1972-1973. It was also the year of the Statewide teachers' strike. This shot is from Ala Napunani Street facing up the big hill. That's M-Building at the very top -- the first and only operational building that year. We even ate our lunches there -- which were catered from the Moanalua Intermediate School cafeteria. The MoHS cafeteria to the left wouldn't be operational until the following school year.

Mr. Kim will receive an award at the second annual Menehune Kina'ole Awards Banquet on February 16, 2006. The link below will take you to the application form to attend the banquet. If you're a Moanalua alumnus who would like to be seated at the same table with others from your class, please include a note indicating so with the year that you graduated.
